Substitute Information
If you are a Substitute Applicant, you must be at least 20 years of age and have completed at least 30 college credit hours, military experience, or participate in BCSC provided trainings
(4 hours).
You must complete the Support Staff / Classified Application if you do not have and do not plan to have a valid Indiana Teaching License or if you do not wish to apply for a teaching position.
OR
You must complete the Certified Application if you have, or plan to have at the end of this semester, a valid Indiana Teachers License and are also applying for a full-time teaching position.
Please provide the following at the time you attend a substitute teacher workshop and/or as attachments to your on-line electronic application:
- One documented work reference with regard to positive experience with children.
- One documented personal reference with regard to moral and character standards.
- An original transcript(s)
- Any licenses held, in state or out of state
Upon meeting the above requirements, please complete the packet of paperwork attached below. Once all materials are complete, please contact Jill Propst at 317-852-5726 to find out the details about the next substitute teacher workshop. Please bring the following items to the workshop:
- Drivers License
- Social Security Card
