Back to School Day
When: Wednesday, July 22nd
Where: Brownsburg East and West Middle Schools
Time: 11:00 - 7:00
Who: All incoming 6th-8th grade students
This is an open house style event where students can receive their schedules, ID, lanyards, and purple homework folders. Please bring supplies to leave in team areas and/or to set up in your lockers. We ask that you limit locker decorations as to save room for textbooks and refrain from putting any decorations/magnets on the outside of the lockers.
School Pictures: Students will take their school pictures so please dress appropriately and adhere to the dress code (i.e. no hats) as this will be the picture on your ID and in the yearbook. If your student is unable to attend on this date, the next picture day will be on Friday, August 8th. Students will receive a temporary ID on the first day of school if needed.
PE Uniforms: We no longer require families to purchase PE uniforms. Students are asked to wear athletic shirts, shorts, and shoes to PE on a daily basis. If your student already has a PE uniform from previous years, please feel free to continue to wear it. If you would prefer to purchase a uniform (while supplies last), we still have them available for $15 (shorts are $9 and shirts are $6). You can pay cash or check.
If your student cannot attend on this date, please know that they can still receive their schedule virtually via Power School (7/24) and they can receive a hard copy of their schedule and lanyard on the first day of school. There will not be another opportunity for them to come into school until the first day. We are very flexible those first few days as we help students with lockers and adjusting to the middle school schedule.
