BHS STUDENT SHINES AT 'SCIENCE FAIR'
BHS junior Oluwatomilola (Tomi) Femi-Adejuwon recently represented BHS and the Science National Honor Society at the Indiana Academy of Science scholarship contest. Students were required to perform research on their own time and present their results in a science fair format. Tomi studied how different magnetic field shapes change the way ferrofluid droplets move, including their speed, direction, and whether they merge. By comparing six magnet arrangements, the research showed that geometry not just magnetic strength plays a major role in controlling droplet behavior. Tomi spent her fall break doing research - won first place! Shw wins a $1,500 scholarship and will represent Indiana at the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
Congratulations Tomi!
