Middle Schools Implement Indiana Electronic Device Law
BCSC

The use of personal electronic devices has long been prohibited in Brownsburg middle schools.  You have likely heard that the new Indiana law banning student use of personal electronic devices during the school day went into effect July 1, 2026.  This new law (IC 20-26-5-40.7) includes the restriction of cell phones, smartwatches or glasses connected to a phone or the internet, personal laptops and tablets, gaming devices, and earbuds/headphones. The graphic below shows how these expectations will continue to be carried out at Brownsburg Middle Schools in accordance with this new Indiana law.
