BHS SCHEDULING APPROACHING - ADVANCED PLACEMENT OPEN HOUSE JANUARY 21, JUNIOR PARENT MEETING JANUARY 22
Brownsburg High School open online enrollment will take place from January 20 – 27 for current freshman, sophomores, and juniors. Students will be presented with a video outlining the process and receive a scheduling worksheet starting January 16th. Beginning on January 28th, guidance counselors will meet with students grades 9-11 to review their schedule choices, answer questions, and make any necessary adjustments. Advanced Placement Open House will be January 21st at 7pm in the BHS Cafeteria (enter door #1 or #6). This is a great opportunity for current 8th grade students or any student interested in AP/Dual Credit offerings at BHS. Brownsburg offers 26 AP courses and 28 Dual Credit College Courses. Join BHS Faculty to discuss if these classes are right for your student.
Team 2021 families will be meeting Wednesday, January 22nd at 7pm. The Team 2021 staff will provide information related to scheduling for senior year.
BHS DISTINGUISHED GRADS APPROVED STARTING WITH TEAM 2023
This year’s incoming freshmen, Team 2023, will be recognized at the end of their four years at Brownsburg High School under a new Latin honors system. The Distinguished Graduate recognition program was determined by a committee of parent volunteers, teachers, and administrators, and approved by the BCSC Board of School Trustees for Team 2023 and beyond. Beginning with graduation in 2023, students will be recognized:
- Summa Cum Laude (greatest honors) for a achieving a cumulative GPA of 4.20 or higher
- Magna Cum Laude (great honors) for achieving a cumulative GPA from 4.00 to 4.199
- Cum Laude (with honors) for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.80 to 3.999
