VISION BCSC is an exciting program that involves parents and community members in a year-long dialogue with the Brownsburg Community School Corporation. Maintaining a high level of parent/community confidence, preserving the sense of small town heritage, dealing with the challenges of a growing, diverse population, and encouraging strong two-way communication within the Brownsburg Community, are goals of the program.

In 10 monthly sessions, VISION participants go “behind the scenes” of BCSC to meet the people who are responsible for programs and services. They'll see first-hand how the Corporation creates a climate of success for its rapidly growing student population.  Sessions meet at various buildings in the school corporation from 8:30am-10:30am on the third Thursday of the month (Jan-Jun and Aug-Nov).  Sessions focus on specific areas of operations - from pre-school to graduation, the classroom to the transportation facility, and buildings to balance sheets. Sessions involve small group discussion, hands-on activities, tours, shadowing, guided observation, and a minimal amount of lecture.  VISION BCSC is a free program.

The Vision class for 2020 is on pause for this session.  When schools closed in March of 2020, the class had only completed 2 of the 10 sessions.  The current class will reconvene in January of 2021 and start again with some new topics.  BCSC will start forming the 2022 Vision class in September of 2021.
