  • Blue Ribbon WEST MIDDLE SCHOOL IS A 2019 NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOL

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced that West Middle School has been named a 2019 National Blue Ribbon School.  West is one of 362 public and private schools in the country, and only 12 in Indiana, receiving this honor. Schools are nominated for the award by the State Department of Education, and then complete a comprehensive application about school practices. The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap.  Congratulations to the students, staff, and families of West Middle School!  This is the fourth consecutive BCSC school to achieve this honor:  Reagan (2018), White Lick (2017), Brown (2016).
