In the spring, school newsletters asked for volunteers for a Redistricting Committee that would meet monthly to come up with a recommendation to send to the BCSC Board of School Trustees in early 2018. The committee of 110 volunteers and administrators has met four times since the start of this school year to work toward a recommendation. The committee is working with neighborhood data presented in an anonymous format that will be used to balance enrollment between seven elementary schools when Lincoln Elementary opens in July 2018. The redistricting will also impact middle school students as it also sends the new Lincoln neighborhoods to East Middle School. At this time, no redistricting decisions have been made. Please join us for a community meeting that explains the process in more detail on November 28th at 6:30pm at the F.L. O’Neal Administration Center, 310 Stadium Drive, enter door #7.
