COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS CONCLUDE WITH RECOMMENDATION WITH NO TAX INCREASE
Through discussion, polling, and collaboration, community members made a recommendation to the Board of School Trustees to build Lincoln Elementary, make necessary renovations to Brownsburg High School and expand BHS to widen hallways, add 23% more classroom spaces, and expand the auditorium seating. This recommendation offers a solution that addresses educationally driven factors while considering the financial impact to the community and responds to enrollment growth in grades K-5 and 9-12, and failing infrastructure at Brownsburg High School. The recommendation will not increase taxes for any resident. In fact, 40% of Brownsburg homeowners will see a decrease in property taxes and all business owners will see a decrease. All of the Community Engagement presentations will remain on the Great Community, Great Schools page, along with past meeting materials and links to the community bus tour videos - CLICK HERE.

ALL BROWNSBURG SCHOOLS EARN FOUR STARS
The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) just released the “Four Star School” award recipients for the 2014-2015 school year. For the first time, ALL NINE Brownsburg Schools received Four Stars! The “Four Star School” award is presented to schools that score in the Top 25% on ISTEP+ in every grade level and subject area the school offers. Results must be in the Top 25% in English and Math separately, and in the Top 25% in passing both sections combined. Additionally, to earn the “Four Star School” award, a school must have earned a letter grade of “A” on its most recent School Accountability Report Card.
