The Scientific Method

The Hypothesis of the scientific method is the answer to the problem. The answer to the problem, the hypothesis, is stated in "if - then" form. Here is an example to the problem: How are carbonated beverages made?.

If yeast is added with a source of fuel to water, then the yeast will give of C02 and produce a carbonated drink.

The hypothesis is just an educated guess to the problem. In other words, its a prediction of the outcome.
