The Scientific Method

The experiment is the testing of the hypothesis. If you recall, the "if" part of the "if - then " statement is

If yeast and a fuel are added to water,

Which means to test this hypothesis, you would need to add yeast and a fuel to the water. Then you wait. While waiting, keep a chart or a graph on the standings. You would write down things such as the color of it, the smell, the look, and so on. If all goes well in the experimentations, you will get the conclusion you had:

then the yeast will give of C02 and produce a carbonated drink.

So hopefully the yeast will make CO2 and make the beverage carbonated.
