BROWNSBURG SCHOOLS TAKING APPLICANTS FOR NEXT VISION BCSC CLASS
Since it began in January of 2007, Vision BCSC has given the community an opportunity to take part in an interactive, in-depth ten month learning experience. Meetings occur once a month on Thursday mornings at various school buildings. Participants representing all areas of our community will go "behind the scenes," meet the people who are responsible for programs and services, and see first-hand how the amazing teachers and staff create a climate of success for a growing student population. BCSC CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS TO ADDRESS FACILITY NEEDS
On July 18, 2016, the Board of School Trustees voted unanimously to move forward with the projects. The community’s recommendation included building an additional elementary, Lincoln Elementary, making necessary renovations to Brownsburg High School and expanding BHS to widen hallways, add 23% more classroom spaces, and expand the auditorium seating. Balancing the needs of our students and teachers with the potential financial impact to the community was a constant theme through the process. These projects will not increase the current school tax rate for any Brownsburg homeowner. In fact, 40% of homeowners and all businesses will see a decrease in their school tax rate. As plans are finalized and construction begins, we invite the community to stay engaged. Information will be added to a page dedicated to this construction. CLICK HERE.
